How it Works
Install the RFID
Install the RFID tag at the beginning of the build. From that point forward, the instrument has its own unique identity.
Track the Build
Optional Shopflo tracking can follow the instrument from station to station, giving you a clearer view of production and shop operations. Each RFID scan can also capture as many build moments as you want: people, processes, photos, dates, and QC checks.
Complete Final QC
At final QC, Gearcheck can connect with your shop management software to pull in the instrument's final specs, factory photos, serial number, and other details, creating its unique record.
Mint the Record
The final RFID scan confirms the instrument is complete and pairs the physical instrument, RFID, factory information, and Gearcheck record. The completed record is then minted and certified.
Assign & Ship
Records can be batch assigned to a retailer or direct customer. The instrument ships ready for warranty registration and ownership transfer.
Customer Registers
The customer scans a QR code in the case, registers the instrument, activates the warranty, and begins the transfer of the Gearcheck record into their ownership.
The Record Follows the Instrument
When the instrument is sold, the next owner can retrieve and transfer the record, update warranty information, and continue building its provenance and ownership history.
